The Transitions Relocation Network offers many social activities and opportunities for relocated employees. Beginning with a telephone call prior to the move, the program helps to establish a social network. Our consultants follow up with a lunch or coffee meeting after the employee has arrived in the area.
Information packets with area activities, restaurant lists, park and recreation catalogues, etc., are provided to new employees during this meeting.
Transitions can also provide tips about:
- Local community services, such as pet sitters, dentists, and hairdressers
- Local events, sports organizations and recreational opportunities
- Cultural events, museums and area restaurants
Both formal and informal activities are available to help employees meet and socialize with others.
These activities include:
- Monthly luncheons with guest speakers from the local community
- Holiday Parties, Movie Night, Happy Hour, and Wine Tasting Events
- Community outings, such as Whale Watching, museum trips and group hikes
Information about these and other events is shared through a monthly newsletter. |
